  PSP Homepage Creator

Thanks to a tip from Matthew, we've got word about this very useful tool for your computer and PSP, called the PSP Homepage Creator (PSPHPC). The PSPHPC lets you make an HTML page on your PSP, so you can combine your knowledge of HTML to make your own personal google site, or maybe even your very compendium of search engines compiled onto one site on your PSP.

With a 152 KB filesize, it won't take much space on your PSP or computer and, best of all, you don't to commit to anything until you see it because of a preview function. That should allow anyone with a pretty good knowledge of HTML and who likes tinkering with his PSP to perfect his own little home on the web and on his PSP.

Anyway, try download, and let the author know what you think. His email is on the readme below. Enjoy!

About the PSPHPC:
PSP Homepage Creator is a simple app for PSP users coded in VB6. It allows the user to add different content to a HTML page and finally create that page in the root of the memory stick of the PSP.

- Instructions

1. Connect you PSP and PC via the USB cable.
2. Open "PSP HPC.exe" and select your PSP drive if it isnt found automatically.
3. Create you own homepage with, coloured text, hyperlinks, background colours and background images, and different font effects plus you can also add a Google search bar. Simply by using the commands on the right side of the program.
4. If you wish to view your homepage so far you can click the "Live Preview" button to see what it will look like, if you add a background image make sure that you add the image into "PSP/PHOTO/" which is in the same directory as the app.
5. If you are happy with your creation and want to save it make sure the PSP drive is set correctly and click "Make."
6. The file should have saved to the root of the memory stick and be called index.html.

Loading the homepage

1. Now that the homepage is in the root of the memory stick it is quite easy to access, start the browser on your PSP and press triangle, this should bring up the menu.
2. Go to the top and select the address bar, then type file:/index.html and this will load your page. You may then set this page as your homepage.

Gmax2PSP  We missed Alatnet and his uber-useful 3D modeling application Gmax2PSP. He recently came back into the fray with version 4 of his program and less than 48 hours later, he's come up with Gmax2PSP v5. For those who haven't heard of it, homebrewers can use this to make custom content for their games, so long as they're gmax-enabled
