  PSPIRC

Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew developer zx-81 just released another update to one of his many PSP homebrew applications, this time giving love to PSPIRC. After the flurry of new features last update, PSPIRC version 1.0.7 addresses a handful of bugs that surfaced.

As some already know, zx-81 picked up the IRC engine originally made by Denzen then added IR keyboard support based on Harald Fielker's work. Now, the PSP homebrew developer constantly updates PSPIRC for the best chat experience on the Sony handheld. This version eliminates a couple of bugs users encountered, and added a line edit mode. Here are the changes:

* Bug fix in Danzef keyboard (characters ? and # weren't mapped properly)
* Bug fix on fw-3x, the PSP freeze when more than 7 tabs were opened simultaneously
* New line edit mode in IRC console

Two versions, one for firmware 1.5 and another for 3.xx OE CFW, are available. For those who haven't tried the app before, there are helpful Readme files in both downloads with enough instructions that should help you get started. If there are any bugs, or if you want to send your suggestions, just visit zx-81's release thread at the QJ.NET forums.

Updated NDS IRCDS And we present another contender in the NEO Summer Contender Contest.Freemaan, a.k.a. davido2, has updated his homebrew application for the Nintendo DS, aptly named NDS IRCDS. From the name itself, you could already get the gist of this app, but if you can't, then you should know that Freemaan's app is actually an IRC client for Nintendo DS

If you've been wondering why there hasn't been updates to the awesome IRC Client for the DS, well, developer Ficedula didn't fall off the face of the planet, he just took some time off to attend to perhaps some non-DS related matters

Beup LiveBeup Live
Beup Live Beup Live 0.7 Release Notes: It seems to be that Microsoft took down MSNP9 Protocol. This means that Beup Live doesn't work anymore, since it uses MSNP9. I downgraded Beup Live to MSNP8 (which still works) for the people who still wants to use Beup Live. The only bad side is that there is no avatar support in MSNP8
PSPIRCPSPIRC
PSPIRC Hehey, would you look'it that? Ever-hardworking PSP homebrew developer Zx-81 is back once again with an update for his PSPIRC app. If you haven't heard of this homerbew project yet, it's name should give you a clue. Lemme spell it out for you though: it's an IRC client for the PSP. Can't get any simpler than that! So what's new in PSPIRC v1.1
VoiceChatClientVoiceChatClient
VoiceChatClient Infantile Paralysiser has come out with VoiceChatClient ver 0.1. This looks like the older brother of PenChatClient ver 0.1. It's got the similar interface and the scribbler on the touch screen. But if the name of this homebrew is any indication, it's also got voice support

WiFi VoiceChatClientWiFi VoiceChatClient
WiFi VoiceChatClient - It's going to be a tough call for Nintendo DS users on whether to upgrade to a higher version of Infantile Paralysiser's WiFi VoiceChatClient. Tough call because it looks like this latest one is experiencing a few connectivity issues
