As a part of the NeoFlash Summer Coding Competition (2006), Pointbat has released a new PSP homebrew game - Luminex. Lumiex, as the name suggests, is a clone of the popular PSP game Lumines. Lumines has seen several PC and PSP clones alike - a lot like Geometry Wars in PGR2. Lumines has appeared on cell phones around the world aside from appearing on the Playstation Portable.
This clone features the basic setup of Lumines - 4 block squares, a moving elimination line, and the entire concept behind the hit PSP game. However, this version does not contain sound at the moment, or levels to explore. However, with a lack of levels does not mean a lack of block sprites. Due to the way the programmer designed the game, the entire graphics set of the game can be altered by any PSP user if they wish to do so (the graphics files are found in the Lumiex folder). Overall this is the start to a wonderful Lumines clone, and we wish the developer the best of luck in the competition!
