Through WiiBrew we learn that a homebrew game of Xs and Os have arrived for the Nintendo Wii, and TicTacToe version 1.0 seems to be the perfect rendering of the timekilling board game. Currently, it doesn't support two players, but homebrew developer bmic did put extra effort into refining the basic gameplay and decorating it with proper graphics and audio.
The project was created from the ground up with the libraries available on WiiBrew, and thanks to GRRLIB 3.0, there's even subtle fade effects for the visuals. Homebrew Channel friendly, TicTacToe v1.0 also comes with its source code (as per the terms for most projects posted on WiiBrew), so developers may also have a look into it and see what else they could add. Online multiplayer, please?
Before you download the game, you could have a look at the controls that the Wii remote is mapped out to in this homebrew game, but author bmic took a little extra step to streamline the tutorial.

The game plays like Marble Madness, only this one's 2D
