It was just a couple of days ago when homebrew developer DickyDick1969 updated his pet application PiMPStreamer to v0.90a not to mention the addition of a nifty test EBOOT for detecting errors. During that release, focus was given to the Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) compatibility feature of the application.
Today, another new version was release but Wii users will be benefiting from it more. In case you don't know, PiMPStreamer allows users to stream audio and video content to their PlayStation Portable (PSP) unit from PlayStation 3, Wii and even PCs. In version 0.91, it is now possible to have full playback on the Wii console itself. The changelog reads:
* No more pimpy color borders. Movie will always try to go full screen.
* Full length FLV playback on Wii. Tested with some long movies
* Better UI while playing (click on movie).
* Adjust volume and play/pause.
* Tested on Wii.
Like we said, no changes was done to the PSP binaries in PiMPStreamer v0.91. But just the same, PSP users can still check this out if they want to. Have fun!
