Homebrew developer seba has released the alpha build of his latest project, RetroWars DS, a homebrewed shoot em up for the Nintendo handheld.
Developer's note (translated):
I am pleased to announce that is available for download, the Alpha version (fully playable) of a game I'm developing for Nintendo DS. RetroWars This is a game that had previously developed for PC and XBOX360, but I could not publish (basically, living in Uruguay). Anyway, less than 2 weeks, I started to program in C version of the game (with a few changes) and a boss.
To play this game if you do not have a DS with a cartridge to run homebrew, you can use the emulators that are in the back. (Desmume, or NO $ GBA)
If your firmware to run homebrew cartridge is old, you have to load it by HomebrewMenu. (HBmenu)

Stef has released a nice 3D homebrew verticle space shooter for the PSP. At the moment he says it works on 2.0 but he hadn't tested it on a 1.5.
