After a long time away I figured it's time to come back and start working again! Those of you who remember me may have realized that I sort of up and disappeared; this was due to several important family issues that needed to be taken care of. Enough of that though, let's get to the goodies :P.
I've started working on a new battle RPG (think Final Fantasy Tactics), and the first order of business was seeing if I could get the isometric map system working. Well, obviously, I have.
I know, my textures are crap, but hey, give me a break, I'm a programmer!
In any case, I'm releasing the code to this version ONLY NOW (and possibly to the full map system when it's done ... see the lua script for more details on what will be in that), and nothing else until the game is completely done.
I'm releasing it so those of you who want to make isometric map systems have a building block to work off of. All I ask is that if you use this to help you learn, give credit where credit is due :P.
To test this out (I've only tested on 2.6), simply copy the DDS folder to your PSPGAME folder and load it up as you would any other homebrew. If that fails, simply browse to the script.lua file from within Lowser.

More info about the game:
This game is going to be a Turn Based Battle RPG, ala Final Fantasy Tactics. The main proponent of this game is the card system, which will allow you to collect and create cards that allow you to cast spells, summon creatures, etc... This is in addition to your normal physical and weapon based attacks. That should suffice for now....
