Diablo 2 Sorceress Those hoping for a mini-Diablo to carry around in their Nintendo DS will finally see that wish come true...to some extent. Homebrew developer Le Rodeur from Player Advance managed to come up with an alpha version of a 'brewed game titled Diablo 2 Sorceress Adventure, intended to be a "mini-remake" of Blizzard's hit PC title, Diablo starring the Sorceress character class.
We've tested the brew ourselves, and since the game is still in early Alpha stages, there's nothing else to do except make the Sorceress walk around in an infinite map. It's not much at this point, but at least we know that someone's working on creating a bite-sized Diablo for the Nintendo portable.
It's a very good concept for a project, but some homebrew developers have apprehensions about Diablo 2 Sorceress Adventure. First and foremost, they were worried that Blizzard themselves would sniff out the homebrew and put a stop to its distribution. It's a worrisome thought indeed, and we wish that they wouldn't pull (cut, even) the plug on the project.
In any case, you can check out the alpha of Diablo 2 Sorceress project in the download link below, which includes the .ds.gba, .sc.nds and .nds files that you need to run the game depending on which homebrew platform you use. Just copy and paste the file of your choice to the root folder of your card (or your designated games folder), and enjoy.
