That was fast. Only a few hours after Karl wrote up on that Dutch SCEE admin dropping hints about FW 3.01, CrEec mailed us that he's found 3.01 up on Network Update already.
Sony hasn't updated their websites past DA BIG 3-OH yet, but we found this FW 3.01 update floating around available for download. And based on the info we've been able to gather up to now, 3.01's just a security patch. In other words, nothing major's added to the 3-OH, other than another potential loophole filled up.
Download link's below for the FW update - if you're still interested in jumping up a hundredth of a notch (0.01). Otherwise, let the speculation regarding potential exploits from the last article rage on in this one. (And for a moment we thought this would be a Rumor).
