R4DS firmware Who doesn't love the user-friendliness of R4 team's R4 Nintendo DS flash cart? The popular DS homebrew platform is now finally updated to resolve the 1834 problem in previous versions of the R4, adding further functionality to the intuitive drag-and-drop user interface of the R4.
If this is your first time in updating your R4 kernel, all you need to do is to simply download the file below according to the language of your choice, unzip and copy _DS_MENU.DAT and_DS_MSHL.NDS and let those two files overwrite your existing ones. There's no need to worry about losing your GUI skins, as they will not be affected if you just copy those two files. Enjoy!
