R4DS firmware In the world of Nintendo DS flashcarts, the R4 has consistently proved its worth and value with its unrivaled user-friendly interface and drag-and-drop mechanics - as well as having quick and prompt updates to combat any bugs or glitches with the latest releases. This update from the R4 team is no exception, with the latest kernel update (v1.13) resolving the problem with 1770.
As with all R4 DS loader updates, old-time users of the R4 are recommended to simply copy the _DS_MENU.DAT and _DS_MSHL.NDS files into their Micro SD cards to overwrite the previous version's - you wouldn't want to lose your custom wallpapers and themes, would you? For those just starting out with the R4 and have not yet kitted out the R4 interface with your own touches, you can safely just extract the whole thing into your MicroSD and then customize it later.
