Homebrew developer mcdongle dropped by QJ forums today and released an updated version of pet project pspWeather. Some of you might not be familiar with this as the updates for the program comes rather rarely. Anyway, the application basically is a network software that lets you view the weather in your locality using the PlayStation Portable (PSP).
During the last release, some users noticed a bug within the program when using it on any OE firmware. According to mcdongle, this concerns the TinyXML bugthat has been fixed now. Additional improvements to pspWeather v2.0b-20070407 are as follows:
* Additions: Added standard and metric units when using the pspWeather "keyboard"
* Bug Fixes/Changes: Fixed an issue where pspWeather did not run correctly unless it was located in /PSP/GAME/
But before you give pspWeather a try, the developer has a few reminders for you to ensure the safety of your beloved handhelds. According to mcdongle, the program itself doesn't have an application for cleaning out data so be sure to clean your directory every so often.
As of now, the application can only show up to 10 wireless access points and mcdongle promised that this will be improved in the next releases And just like in all homebrew games and applications out there, never exit or power down or even think of removing the memory stick while the memory stick indicator is stil on.
