Last February, the Pong homebrew ran on the Wii for the first time, thanks to the Twilight Hack which exploits The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. And there was no looking back ever since for this humble, but evolutionary game.
Today, we have another Pong game for Nintendo's smart, little white console, the Wii. This time, this version's from PaRaDoX. By now you should have come across Pong at least once in your gaming life, so we're sure you know the mechanics of the game already.
But just in case you're new to the wonderful world of gaming, Pong basically is a 2D tennis/ ping pong match of sorts where a ball bounces off from one wall to another. Of course, your goal is to not miss and lose the ball.
Controls for this brew are just as simple:
* UP and DOWN on the Wiimote to move in menus and in-game.
* A or B to do action.
* PLUS to open pause screen.
And the changelog for PONG v1.1:
* Corrected the collision/bounce that used a completely incorrect algorithm (Thanks zosh for taking your time)
* Added sound, CPU
* many other things.
Be sure also to check out the accompanying files in the zipfile, including the readme, cos PaRaDoX is sharing the love by including the source with comments on every part of it. That basically makes you free to use the source for anything you need/want.
