  RSPsar Dumper

The last we heard of RSPsar Dumper was last month, when author Red Squirrel updated the homebrew development utility to decrypt Sony's official 3.95 firmware for the PlayStation Portable. Today marks a new chapter in it's lifetime. Since the release of Sony's official firmware 4.00, RSPsar Dumper has been updated to version 3.4 in order to prove that the software has indeed been decrypted.

So in short, RSPsar Dumper v3.4 has the necessary keys to get the official firmware decrypted, and it has been updated to support 4.00 dumping. Or so says the anonymous author's changelog:

* Added two decryption keys in the pspdecrypt for FW 4.00
* FW 4.00 support was added to the main program.
* Buffers have been adjusted to support the decoding of 4.00

Yes, we said anonymous developer. Apparently, the latest compilation of Red Squirrel's famed utility hasn't been the complete fruits of the original author. A new developer picked up the project and is only identified as Anonymous Dev 2, according to MaGiXieN of PSP-GEN. We'll update you as soon as we get more information.

This is a PSP port of the Cal3d, a skeletal based 3D character animation library written in C++ in a platform/graphic API-independent way. Ginka has made it possible to view the 3D models on the PSP. Currently he only tested this on a 1.50 PSP, and it worked fine. 2
