Suzumebachi This game looks promising, if only for the artwork alone. Over at the Project DS forums, K4y has released version 0.2 of SuzumeBachi which is supposed to be a shmup game, and it looks very nice.
The only problem is, version 0.2 doesn't actually have anything aside from your hornet (suzumebachi means "hornet") and the ability to move around with the D-pad. That isn't really bad or anything since it's an alpha version, so finding something now is better than having the problem come up in the future.
One thing we can tell you is that the conceptual artwork looks great, with a lot of well-made drawings and paintings by K2. There's even a box cover artwork (above) which actually makes you wish it was an actual game in development by some big studio. Let's just see if further versions will justify the gorgeous artwork. For now, just try out the alpha and see if something breaks, then let K4y know.
