  GuitarHelper

Still having problems with those hard riffs and chords? Don't worry because homebrew developer Joel Van is back with an improved version of GuitarHelper. The application, as the name suggests, assists and teaches users to play the guitar. GuitarHelper was originally from guitargod1134 but Joel Van has been the one updating it for the past few weeks now.

Now in version .5B, Joel Van promised that GuitarHelper now has lesse bugs and more content. Despite this, take note that this version still uses the same navigation system for v.5a so the program shouldn't feel any alien at all. This is written in Lua and uncompiled. The EBOOT, by the way, is LUA player direct loaded into lowser (version .16 unmodded).

Anyway, enough chatter, be sure to give the Readme file a thorough browse first before using this on your PlayStation Portable (PSP). All important details including controls and loading instructions can be found there. And as for the improvements to GuitarHelper v.5B, here's the complete changelog:

* NEW EBOOT with NEW BACKGROUND & ICON (same music)
* NOW FRONT SCREEN, "press start to enter"
* NEW FLEXIBLE TUNER now lets you tune to STANDARD, DROP D, DOUBLE DROP D, FLAT (1/2 step) and DROP C, the tuner has a menu system to navigate these variations
* SCALES SECTIONS NOW INCLUDES 7 MODES and 7 SCALES
* 2 NEW CHORD CHARTS, AUGMENTED AND DIMINISHED
* DETAILED EFFECTS CATALOGUE THAT EXPLAINS HOW THE EFFECT WORKS AND PLAYS AN EXAMPLE
* NEW AUDIO COMPRESSION METHOD
* MINOR GUI CHANGES
* BUG FIXES

Wii Play the Drums With the addition of the Wii Play the Drums into the roster of available applications that use the Wiimote, we can now safely say that there has never been a better time to make a Wiimote rock band. All you have to do is combine the Wiitar, the Wii Loop Machine, and this Wiimote drum kit, and you have the makings of a full-fledged rock group
Drum SimulatorDrum Simulator
Drum Simulator  Over at the QJ forums, Vermillion has just released Drum Simulator v0.1. As can probably be gathered just by looking at the title, this is a LUA-coded drum simulator for the PSP. Right now, you can only play one sound at a time (no hitting the high-hats while banging on the snare yet)
Orquesta Demo 2Orquesta Demo 2
Orquesta Demo 2 from kriogeN: This is a nonsense program that started yesterday. Have you played Wii Music? Because this program is (not very well get you much refinement) to emulate the Steering orchestra. Select the song you want to play and appear on screen 3 numbers separated by "

MyTunesRSS mytunesrssMyTunesRSS is an application created by Michael Descher which allows you to access your iTunes library from any computer connected through a network. It's an easy and secure way to stream iTunes files over RSS to other devices, in our case, PSP. You can browse your library by album or artist, or you can opt to search for tracks
DJ Portable DSDJ Portable DS
DJ Portable DS News have just reached our ears that t4ils has released his DJ Max Portable-inspired homebrew game for the DS, DJ Portable DS. The basic objective? To hit the assigned buttons in time when the notes hit the red line. Kinda DDR Universe also, actually

Jazzier SuiteJazzier Suite
Jazzier Suite from Gaz: Jazzier Suite, is a new project I am working on for the Nintendo DS. The program will aid musicians in improving their ability to recognise pitch, read music and to stabilise timing, as not to speed up or slow down whilst playing songs. There will also be a number of tools implemented to help aid in composition and performance
PS-CoverFlowPS-CoverFlow
PS-CoverFlow Remember sony_psp_player's Coverflow for the PSP? There's a similar homebrewed program out right now, PS-CoverFlow by animefreak345. The newer application uses part of sony_psp_player's Coverflow code, but looks different in its own right. Unlike Coverflow, the PS-CoverFlow has a black background
