  MyTunesRSS

mytunesrssMyTunesRSS is an application created by Michael Descher which allows you to access your iTunes library from any computer connected through a network. It's an easy and secure way to stream iTunes files over RSS to other devices, in our case, PSP.
You can browse your library by album or artist, or you can opt to search for tracks. The app lets you create RSS Feeds or even m3U playlists from any album in your library. You can also download tracks for getting them on your Playstation Portable without a USB link.

MyTunesRSS is pure Java, and as such, it can run on any platform that supports Java 1.5 and iTunes.

Michael has updated the awesome application to version 2.1 (thanks oghs08 for the heads up!) to reflect the following improvements:

* download link for individual tracks now possible
* database auto-update set in minutes instead of seconds
* older iTunes versions should work
* display of local/external address in dialog
* error sound when requesting missing files
* bug fixes

Music Quiz v0.1Music Quiz v0.1
Music Quiz v0.1 Here's a unique little quiz game from Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew developer Xevious86 - it's one that makes the questions based on the music tracks you have in your /PSP/MUSIC folder. A very cool idea, and in execution, it's pretty awesome. For the uninitiated, playing Music Quiz is pretty simple
DJ Portable DSDJ Portable DS
DJ Portable DS News have just reached our ears that t4ils has released his DJ Max Portable-inspired homebrew game for the DS, DJ Portable DS. The basic objective? To hit the assigned buttons in time when the notes hit the red line. Kinda DDR Universe also, actually
Jazzier SuiteJazzier Suite
Jazzier Suite Update notes:- * Included a Notation Trainer to aid in learning to site-read music. * Improvements to the metronome. * Added Main Menu. * Updated Graphics. I have also been working on a way to save stats for each exercise. This will be daily stats which can be saved onto the DS, and I may enable the software so users can store their progress online
Orquesta Demo 2Orquesta Demo 2
Orquesta Demo 2 from kriogeN: This is a nonsense program that started yesterday. Have you played Wii Music? Because this program is (not very well get you much refinement) to emulate the Steering orchestra. Select the song you want to play and appear on screen 3 numbers separated by "
DSFretDSFret
DSFret Given a day to update something is quite an achievement. As Spag has released his homebrew music maker just yesterday, DSFret is now in a congratulatory level of v0.2. Here are notes on DSFret v0.2 from Spag himself: * As suggested, I've added bass fretboards. You can now switch between guitar / bass 4 / bass 5 / bass 6. Default is guitar

PianoutPianout
Pianout The folks over at Dev-fr.org homebrew community has something interesting going on. Last month they started a music-themed homebrew game/application competition, with a twist: the entries have to be "silly" in nature. The competition managed to garner a handful of kooky entries, and we're going to sample three of them in this article
DSMetronomeDSMetronome
DSMetronome It is a metronome. For those who don't know about, it's a tool to help practicising music. I haven't seen any on DS. Since I think it's something very suitable for a DS I decided to build one by myself. The key features are: - A sequencer with nice drum kit elements which you can activate/deactivate to make part of your own custom rythm
MIDI JammerMIDI Jammer
MIDI Jammer This is a program I wrote for the Nintendo DS, based off of the DSMI library by 0xtob. To sum it up, it turns your DS into a musical instrument
GuitaHelperGuitaHelper
GuitaHelper Guitargod1134 is back with a new version of GuitarHelper. While this new version doesn't include the much-awaited tab reader just yet ("it was quite buggy and not all the text was printed so i decided to just remove it"), it does come with its own set of new features. Changelog * Completely redone code
