ProTrekkr (formerly known as NoiseTrekker by Juan Antonio Arguelles Rius aka Arguru) is
a tracker program combining a software synthesizer together with a traditional samples
tracker which can be used to create electronic music (like psytrance, trance goa,
hard acid, IDM, chip, techno, etc.) for small sized intros, demos or games.

- Constants weren't generated correctly when using command 0x15.
- Implemented vibrato effect (0x1dxy) x = speed y = depth
(can't be used if arpeggio (0x1b) is turned on).

Music Quiz v0.1 Here's a unique little quiz game from Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew developer Xevious86 - it's one that makes the questions based on the music tracks you have in your /PSP/MUSIC folder. A very cool idea, and in execution, it's pretty awesome. For the uninitiated, playing Music Quiz is pretty simple

XylophonoXylophono
Xylophono The folks over at Dev-fr.org homebrew community has something interesting going on. Last month they started a music-themed homebrew game/application competition, with a twist: the entries have to be "silly" in nature. The competition managed to garner a handful of kooky entries, and we're going to sample three of them in this article
PS-CoverFlowPS-CoverFlow
PS-CoverFlow Remember sony_psp_player's Coverflow for the PSP? There's a similar homebrewed program out right now, PS-CoverFlow by animefreak345. The newer application uses part of sony_psp_player's Coverflow code, but looks different in its own right. Unlike Coverflow, the PS-CoverFlow has a black background

Homebrew developer Babkock has dropped by our forums to release his latest project, ToneMatrix, a gnarly "16-step drum machine" based on the ToneMatrix flash program by Andre Michelle for the PlayStation Portable

mytunesrss mytunesrssMyTunesRSS is an application created by Michael Descher which allows you to access your iTunes library from any computer connected through a network. It's an easy and secure way to stream iTunes files over RSS to other devices, in our case, PSP. You can browse your library by album or artist, or you can opt to search for tracks
KaraokiiKaraokii

Jazzier SuiteJazzier Suite
Jazzier Suite from Gaz: Jazzier Suite, is a new project I am working on for the Nintendo DS. The program will aid musicians in improving their ability to recognise pitch, read music and to stabilise timing, as not to speed up or slow down whilst playing songs. There will also be a number of tools implemented to help aid in composition and performance

GuitarHelper Joel Van has released a new upgrade for guitargod1134's GuitarHelper application, which teaches people the basics of using a guitar. This version, called GuitarHelper v0.5a, has a ton of additional features as well, and comes in two different modes depending on your firmware. Here's what Joel Van had to say about this new version: Guitar Helper
VDrumVDrum
VDrum Don't pack away those drum sticks just yet, because homebrew developer Xsjado7 has released the latest version of VDrum v2.0, a drum kit simulator for the PlayStation Portable. The newest update includes a lot of added tweaks which improve the overall performance of this already fun drum sim
