  Visual Boy Advance

First off, we have to thank Nightfall regarding this news, which will be regarding an update for emu_kidid's Visual Boy Advance emulator for the Wii and GameCube systems.

The developer has released a new build of VBA version 1.7.2, which will include improved controller support, as well as the addition of an in-game menu. As for the rest of the changelog details (quoting the readme):

* Wii Port
o Wiimote / Classic Controller / Gamecube Pad support
o Front-SD ROM Loading
o Front-SD SRAM Saving and Loading
o MEM2 ROM Storage for fast access
o In-game Menu with ability to exit to loader (Home button)
o Auto frame skip for those core heavy games
* GC Port
o SDGecko ROM Loading
o SDGecko SRAM Saving and Loading
o In-game Menu with ability to exit to loader (X+Y)
o Auto frame skip to give you the illusion of full FPS

This latest build will also address an issue that kept players from resuming a game when they attempted to saved. emu_kidid further notes that this will probably the last release for this homebrew. As a recap for the new readers, VBA is an emulator for three closely related systems: The Nintendo Gameboy Mono, Gameboy Color, and the Gameboy Advance.

Full details regarding this application are available in the file bundle's readme. This download's for the "frameskip" version which will work accurately.
