There are things in life that take priority over others, and PSP homebrew developer SANiK has postponed the homebrew role in exchange for the pursuit of higher knowledge. The developer's online compatible cheat utility, NitePR, is now on development limbo indefinitely, but SANiK allowed the release of the source code to NitePR revision J.
According to QJ Forum user brosmooth, SANiK offered up the source code to experienced and new developers alike who are willing to adopt the homebrew application for further improvements. The developer also left the source code archive with a note:
Good luck decoding what it all does. A hint to how messy it is: I used #include files instead of linking code/separating code into .c files =o It's messy like that because I didn't actually sit down and plan nitePR out... I added as I went along. If I was you, I'd recode the entire thing by separating the GUI code (not needed) from the functional code (cheat searching, etc) And don't bug me about setting up the compiler or compile errors.
There's a lot of hints from what's up ahead for aspiring developers, and we announce this to all homebrew developers far and wide to pique their interest. NitePR currently will not support 3.71 custom firmware, so if there are developers willing to try their hand at NitePR, this message goes out to you. We wish you good luck and happy recoding!
