Suomitetris DS Tetris, the most popular computer puzzle game of all time, was invented by Alexey Pazhitnov in 1985 during his spare time. According to Alexev, he was inspired by a game called pentominoes. Today, Tetris (or its variants) is available for nearly every video game console, computer operating system, mobile phones, and PDAs. Tetris is so popular its practically on every list of the greatest video games of all time. In fact, it is only second to Super Mario Bros. in terms of sales.
Now you can play Tetris on the DS thanks to a homebrew game developed by Kotisivu. He calls his DS Tetris clone Suomitetris DS. We call it a legally addictive substance! Kotisivu has released Suomitetris DS v1.1, the latest update and it features the following:
* Customizable controls * Added auto repeat for moving left/right and soft drop * Added two rotate buttons: clockwise and counter clockwise rotate
We've never met any one on the planet who didn't like Tetris so we think Suomitetris DS 1.1 is going to be a big hit with the DS crowd. By the way, Kotisvu is Finnish and we don't know how to pronounce the game, either. But around here Tetris by any other name (or console) is fun.
