Homebrew developer Lejournal released a new demo for his upcoming project that is as good and as dainty as his previous release Chocobo Run v0.1. The project is known as Tamasky and is inspired by the 90s craze Tamagotchi. Here, players adopt a virtual pet which they must nourish, feed, and clean.
Tamasky Demo v0.0 still has limited features but even so, it is very playable and as good as a full homebrew release. Some of the worth mentioning ones include (the list was translated from French using an online translator):
* Screen titrates
* Choice of only one Egg for the moment
* Filling of the mess tin
* Cleaning of the needs
* Appearance of the needs for the animal by chance
* Safeguard of the state of the animal
* Animation of the cloud in the content of the screen
Lejournal mentioned that users don't have to keep their PlayStation Portable units running for Tamasky to advance because it was synched with the handheld's internal clock.

Problem is, working with it seemed more like an exercise in programming the game rather than the point-and-click simplicity you'd expect from the DS - and with that touchscreen, you dang well wanted that simplicity

We're pleased to say though, that this is the fastest/smoothest the game has ever run. Sure, when the action gets insance, the FPS suffers a little, but it is definitely an improvement over prior releases
