PSPsetX
Placasoft from Team Emergency Exit has released PSPsetX, the PSP firmware tweaking tool for 2.00 PSP. In this version, Placa has added the version changer function, which is ranged from v1.00 to v3.00. Other functions remain the same with PSPsetX version 0.2. We haven't been able to test this one on 2.01+ PSP since we don't have one
PSPsetX 0.3b for 2.0
This program can be used to make 2.0 PSPs 'trick' the firmware into thinking it is really a higher version, allowing 2.0 owners to play some games that require the 2.6 firmware. You run the risk of bricking your PSP with this program, and there are still 2.6 games that aren't playable yet
PSP-OSS
Mondy, a PSP-OSS developer, has released v0.3 of PSP-OSS for the NeoFlash Spring Coding Competition 2006. This release includes various new features which are:
* PMP files can be played from anywhere.
* Rar support for skins
* MP3 Suffle Function and Able to change songs while browsing.
* Custom Language support and Custom colour support
eMenu Public
Ditlew who has worked with Fanjita on the eLoader has just released the second public beta of eMenu which now includes a refreshed look and the addition of alpha sorting. Ditlews goal is to keep eMenu "simple, fast, stable" and has delivered what he promised
Flash copy
Another day and another flash copy update! Gracz54 has updated his flash copy homebrew application to v1.2. Flash copy is a program that allows you to copy the full contents of flash1 and flash0 on your PSP to your memory stick . It's a pretty simple program, but very useful for anyone wanting to dump their firmware to memory stick
UMD Net Ripper
This tool will allow PSP owners, who have a wireless internet connection, to dump their Retail games wirelessly onto their computer. Although there is no large memory stick required, a wireless router is still needed (something in which all PSP owners should own!)
UMD Identifier
This is a nice little application that can identify UMDs by the code in UMD_DATA.BIN. Developer harleyg's managed to stuff approximately 250 codes and games from different regions into this app. When activated it'll display the UMD's code and name with the disc's PIC1.PNG in the background
Custome Firmware Recovery.ELF Tester
Flashing the PSP should be done with caution - you'll never know how your PSP is gonna react. But if you've taken the courage to go ahead and install a flashing app, sometimes eventhough you were lucky not have bricked your PSP, you realize you're not really that lucky because you don't really need or want the application
MooseFlash for PSP 1.50
Mooser has released MooseFlash, a homebrew app that lets you flash a background, font, gameboot, and bootsound to the PSP 1.50. A lot of you guys may already have X-Flash, but it's always good to hear that some people are still trying their hands at working on new homebrew apps.
Anyway, here's what you have to do to set MooseFlash up:
