  Pvf Encoder

Since Kojima wanted a video for his application but was not "too keen" going through all the complexities it entails - porting a complex library from windows and sqashing bugs; hence, his Pvf (PSPVideoFormat) Encoder/Playback Library was born.

The Pvf library has a Windows-based command line encoder that converts avi files to pvf. Also included is a playback library based on the PSP C++.

To use Kojima's encoder, all you need to do is drag and drop your Windows avi files over the application. This will then produce the pvf equivalent, informing you of the progress. The PvfLib, shares the developer, was tested only on fw 1.5 and he is not sure if it will work on older and newer versions. Also, a _frameRgb pointer is generated for each frame in pspGL format with the playback library.

Kojima has tested his library within his 3D engine and the playback was 'perfect' and 'pretty fast'. This library uses zlib for both compression and decompression but you only need the zlib installed in your psp environment. The PC side is not required in cyngwin as it an exe file.
