  LuaPlayer HM

The previous release of the homebrew application LuaPlayer HM for the PlayStation Portable had the dev asking for help from anyone who knew how to use adhoc. Another homebrew coder, PiCkDaT, offered a helping hand, and so LuaPlayer HM v5 has now been released.

This version now has Adhoc function courtesy of PiCkDaT. Aside from this very promising development, homebrew developer Homemister has also added WiFi ability to the player. You can now select and add new wireless networks.

But if these new features still don't impress you, then maybe you'd want to wait for the next release of LuaPlayer HM. The homebrew dev is planning to include a built-in LuaPlayer Updater which will automatically check for and install new versions of the homebrew app. The next build will also have better Eboot support. Homemister also informs us that starting from this version, the dev will be working with PiCkDaT and they'll be releasing the homebrew app for the Sony PlayStation Portable as a team.

You can download LuaPlayer HM v5 by following the link below. Make sure that you go through the readme file for the installation instructions, credits, and a complete documentation of the latest version.

Non-Module LuaPlayer Youresam from our forums have been trying to get someone to compile LuaPlayer v0.16. Finding no one, he did all the work himself. But in the process, youresam realized it would be a whole lot better to compile v0.20 instead. Since v0.18 included module loading, 2.00+ users are no longer able to use LuaPlayer

From Sylus101:Just so it's clear and the purpose of the app isn't in question (as I think it might be) this is intended to be a developers helper in designing/modifying sprites, particularly for use with PALib, but since there is a binary export now I'm gathering they could be used with any dev platform (not like there are many others

End of the Shadows source code update Although Octobinz had previously promised that he'd release the latest demo of End of the Shadows soon, what we get today is actually a quick update on the source code. To the homebrew devs out there that plan to do some microscopic observations on his work in progress, Octobinz says that he's updated this using an SVN version
