Raptor 3D
Homebrew development is getting easier for newbies to get in; and I really mean it. At first, there wasn't even a toolchain to integrate everything. Then came the toolchain and it pretty much revolutionised homebrew development. This was the case with homebrew games.
Until about a month ago, there wasn't any easy way to make really good games
Raptor 3D
Raptor 3D is a homebrew 3D engine for the PSP. It's a 3D graphics tool for people who want to develop their own homebrew games. Remember this is at the alpha stage, and there might be bugs, but Kojima's been pretty quick with updating previous versions
3D Game Development Set
There hasn't been a better time to develop games for the PSP. We've had a couple of gaming engines already (LTE, Raptor3D), and now, SG57 and saulotmalo from our forums have released a library which can aid game developers in a big way
Animation Lib 1
Grimfate126 was kind enough to impart his wisdom to other members of the QJ Developer forums with what you could basically call a tutorial of sorts.
Dubbed Animation Lib 1, this is meant to help people in understanding and programming LUA animations for PSP games and the like
Animation Lib 2
School's still not out for students of LUA animation: Grimfate126 has released the second volume - well edition or version, really - of his Animation Lib. Take notes, young LUA homebrew padawans: Version 2 now features the ability to load and play animations from a sprite sheet. *.bmp is now a valid extension as well, thanks to youresam's bmplib
Are you Sam? No? Well, if youresam can read this, thanks for upgrading netlib! So, what is netlib? Simply put, it's a library you can use it to make your own LUAplayer games for your PSP, and youresam just made a couple of tweaks
Tetris 2.0-2.80 SDK + Instructions
This download contains the 2.0-2.80 Tetris SDK and Instructions
If this doesn't make you jump up in your chairs and run to "Mommy" asking her to buy you a 2.80 PSP, I don't know what will! Well, this news may not be enough for one to buy a new PSP, but it definitely is worth jumping out of your chair in pure excitement
LUALibrary
Attention LUA developers: Romero126 has released LUALibrary v 1.00 beta WIP, an update of LUA Library with a WIP SonyKeyboard Text Input system. This is still at the beta stage, and Romero126 said that the SCE SonyKeyboard is only partially functional. However, it should be fully functional in about a week (we'll update this post when that happens)
Lua Animated Sprite Class Library
I'd advise you to free up some memory stick space on your PSP right now as I can see that an influx of Lua games and applications will be coming your way very soon
ssLib
Continuing his range of homebrew updates, Glynnder from our forums has given something useful to not only homebrew players with his latest PSP project, ssLib v0.2 beta. As you've probably guessed by the title, ssLib is a Lua library that allows Lua coders to add screensaver to any Lua application using just one line of code
